Description

Astraea bears large flowers with sulfur-yellow, oblong perianth segments that spread apart, taper to acute tips, and have wavy margins. Its short, cylindrical corona is dark yellow, with a faint orange tinge confined to a narrow band at the rim. The name ‘Aureo-tinctus’ is listed as a synonym.
