Description

Beryl opens with brilliant greenish-yellow perianth segments tipped in white, later becoming yellowish white with yellow tinges at the base; its orange-yellow corona has a broad orange band at the mouth. The slightly downward-facing flowers have reflexed, overlapping outer segments, narrower inner segments with wavy or incurved margins, and a ribbed, cup-shaped corona with a straight mouth and shallowly crenate rim. The flowers measure 75 mm across and bloom in the early to mid-season.
