Carbineer

2 Y-OLarge-cupped

Description

Carbineer has 95 mm flowers with brilliant greenish-yellow perianth segments and a yellow-orange, bowl-shaped corona that is paler at the base, lightly ribbed, and finished with an expanded, loosely frilled, crenate rim. The spreading outer segments are very broadly ovate, slightly concave, and overlapping, while the narrower inner segments are slightly inflexed and somewhat creased. It blooms in mid-season; a historical trial account noted a deep-orange frill and strong, stiff stems bearing well-poised flowers with substance.
