Chesterton

9 W-GYRPoeticus

Description

Chesterton has rounded, 70 mm flowers with a pure-white perianth. The prominently pointed perianth segments are very broad, reflexed, concave, and overlap by at least half, while the narrower, somewhat oblong inner segments spread more fully with incurved margins and subtler points. Closely overlying the perianth, the ribbed, disc-shaped corona is greenish yellow with a pale-green base and narrow deep-red rim; its mouth is even and minutely notched, and flowering is late.
