Conspicuus

Description

Conspicuus has star-shaped flowers with ovate, blunt perianth segments that spread and overlap by a quarter. The perianth opens deep yellow and becomes sulphur yellow, with a slight white mucro, while the long, strongly ribbed yellow cup is stained orange and edged bright scarlet-orange at its straight, more or less tightly frilled rim. Barrii Conspicuus is listed as a synonym.
