Dunstan's Fire

Description

Dunstan's Fire bears 100 mm flowers with very broad, flat, overlapping perianth segments whose rounded or blunt tips curl slightly inward; the inner segments are slightly inflexed and lightly creased. The reddish-orange corona, paling only slightly toward the base, is cylindrical to somewhat funnel-shaped and lightly ribbed, with stronger ribs at its straight mouth and a deeply notched, scalloped rim. It blooms early, and the flowers are sunproof.
