Esteban

Description

Esteban has a rounded, upward-facing yellow flower 108 mm wide, with petaloid segments arranged in several overlapping, more or less regular whorls. The very broadly ovate outer segments are spreading and flat, with slightly pointed tips and incurved to incurling margins overlapping by half or more; progressively shorter, narrower inner segments curve more strongly inward, ending in a center of very short, irregularly folded segments interspersed with short, finely crenate corona segments. It blooms in mid-season.
