Fencourt Jewel

Description

Fencourt Jewel bears three to five 57 mm flowers per stem, with yellowish-white, spreading perianth segments and a light yellowish-pink, bowl-shaped, lightly ribbed corona. The broadly ovate, heavy-substance perianth segments overlap by half, while the inner segments are slightly inflexed with wavy margins; the straight, wavy corona mouth has an entire or faintly crenate rim. This dwarf cultivar flowers in mid-season and was bred and first flowered at Fencourt, north of Cambridge in Waikato, New Zealand. Its name commemorates Fencourt, while “Jewel” comes from its pollen parent, Little Jewel.
