Flashing Red

Description

Flashing Red has rounded flowers 118 mm wide, with very broad, overlapping perianth segments that have rounded tips, smooth recurved margins, and heavy substance. Its smooth, cup-shaped corona opens to a flared, frilled mouth with a rolled rim. The sunproof flowers bloom in mid-season. The name honors a durable harness horse that won the New Zealand Trotting Cup at nine years of age.
