Gloriosus

8 W-OTazetta

Description

Historical descriptions of Gloriosus record many scented flowers per stem, with very broadly ovate, spreading white perianth segments whose half-overlapping, wavy, incurved margins end in a prominent brighter-white mucro. The light-orange corona is cup-shaped and shallowly six-ribbed, with green tinging in the tube and a straight, wavy, somewhat three-angled mouth. The daffodil is recorded as dating from before 1850.
