Golden Delicious

Description

Golden Delicious has brilliant yellow flowers arranged in two whorls, with several whorls of slightly darker corona segments interspersed among the inner segments. The folded or lightly crumpled corona segments have incurving, wavy margins, adding texture to the layered form. Each stem carries three 60 mm flowers; the 25 mm outer segments are broadly ovate, blunt, mucronate and spreading, while the inner segments are slightly inflexed and the corona segments measure 15 mm. The sweetly scented flowers bloom in mid-season.
