Golden Ducat

Description

Golden Ducat has rounded, 110 mm flowers composed of several regularly layered whorls of vivid yellow segments, with corona segments in a slightly darker tone. The waxy outer segments are broadly ovate, spreading and overlapping, while successive inner whorls become narrower, shorter and more strongly inflexed, culminating in a contorted, sharply inflexed center. Broad corona segments are interspersed among the petaloid segments and have a crenate rim; historically, the cultivar was a major cut-flower variety, especially in Cornwall.
