Description
Golden Spur has deep, rich yellow flowers measuring 107 mm across, with a corona slightly deeper in tone than the perianth. Its narrow, pointed perianth segments curve inward and overlap only at the base, while the somewhat twisted inner segments frame a smooth, cylindrical or narrowly funnel-shaped corona with a ribbed, flared, evenly six-lobed mouth and deeply notched rim. An early-blooming daffodil, it was discovered on a private estate in Wassenaar, Holland, in 1885.
