Hawera

Description

Hawera is a dwarf daffodil bearing 6–8 scented, pale canary-yellow flowers per stem. Its ovate to oblong perianth segments are reflexed and overlap only at the base, surrounding a paler, cup-shaped corona with broad, shallow ribs. It occasionally produces secondary stems. The name refers to the North Island, New Zealand town where Dr. Thomson practiced medicine.
