Description

Highfield Beauty has brilliant greenish-yellow perianth segments surrounding a large, shallow bowl-shaped, lightly ribbed corona of vivid yellow, narrowly banded with orange at the rim. The very broad, overlapping segments spread from the flower with blunt but prominently pointed tips; they may be somewhat concave or incurved at the margins, while the inner segments are slightly inflexed and twisted. Its 63 mm flowers are slightly scented, and the loosely frilled, occasionally split corona mouth may open with green at its base.
