Insulinde

4 W-ODouble

Description

Insulinde has several whorls of petaloid segments that open pale greenish yellow and mature to creamy white, contrasted by a deep, vivid reddish-orange corona. Broadly ovate, spreading outer segments overlap by half, while the slightly shorter inner whorls are subtly inflexed, with creases or incurving margins. Much shorter, narrow central segments curve strongly inward around deeply frilled corona segments, and the flower is described as sunproof.
