Irish Trip

Description

Irish Trip has deep yellow, broadly ovate perianth segments with blunt, inflexed tips, visible midribs, substantial overlap, and narrower inner segments, surrounding an orange, bowl-shaped corona with a wavy mouth. It blooms late, producing two to three flowers per stem. V. A. Barker of England, who purchased bulbs for cut-flower production, suggested the name after seeing the cultivar in bloom.
