Lowena

Description

Lowena bears 99 mm flowers with yellow petaloid segments marked by a prominent white mucro and pink corona segments interspersed among them. Its petaloid segments form three or more whorls: broad, heavily substanced outer segments overlap closely, while the inner whorls turn progressively inward and become concave or crumpled. The corona segments are 33 mm long, crumpled or folded, and edged with wavy, crenate margins; blooms appear in mid-season.
