Lyme Bay

1 YYW-WTrumpet

Description

Lyme Bay bears a 100 mm flower in a double-triangle form, with yellow perianth segments touched white at the base and tipped by a very slight white mucro. The broadly ovate, blunt-tipped segments spread flat, overlap by half, and have smooth, heavy substance; their tips curl inward minutely, while the inner segments are slightly inflexed with gently wavy margins. The smooth, cylindrical corona opens with a touch of yellow at its rim before becoming white, and its expanded, ribbed mouth is lobed and frilled, with a flanged, crenate rim; flowering is mid-season.
