Description

M.J.Berkeley has a rich deep yellow perianth and matching corona, which is cylindrical with a very widely expanded, heavily ribbed, six-lobed mouth and a deeply notched, crenate rim. The ovate, acute perianth segments are inflexed, with wavy or twisted margins and overlap only at the base; the inner segments are sometimes more strongly inflexed near the apex, with recurved margins. It blooms early.
