Mallee

Description

Mallee has rounded flowers 100 mm wide, with a deep pink corona that is broadly yellow at the base and split into six deeply frilled, ribbed segments with toothed rims. Its broad, smooth perianth segments spread flat and overlap substantially, ending in blunt or rounded tips with prominent points; the inner segments twist slightly, while the corona segments closely overlie them for two-thirds of their length. It blooms in mid-season.
