Description
Medusa bears milk-white flowers flushed primrose yellow at the segment bases, centered by a ribbed, bowl-shaped corona that opens yellow-orange with faint green at its base and shifts to scarlet-orange. The corona has a straight or slightly expanded, gently wavy mouth with a minutely notched rim. Each 60 mm flower has very broadly ovate, spreading segments that are slightly concave, somewhat ribbed, and overlapping, with truncate, prominently pointed or slightly incurled tips; stems carry two or three flowers. The scented flowers bloom early.
