Description

Mondragon has 105 mm flowers with brilliant greenish-yellow perianth segments, each bearing a prominent white mucro, and an orange corona split to the base into six ribbed, deeply frilled segments. The very broad, blunt perianth segments overlap by half and spread or reflex somewhat; the inner segments are usually spreading, with wavy margins sometimes distorted at the shoulder. It blooms in mid-season.
