Morrinsville

Description

Morrinsville bears 116 mm flowers with 50 mm, ovate perianth segments that spread in a plane, their blunt to slightly truncate tips and slightly incurved margins framing narrower, blunt inner segments. The smooth, heavy segments overlap by half, while the 40 mm, cup-shaped corona has a smooth body and a flared, ribbed, wavy mouth with a notched rim. An early-blooming cultivar, it was named for the centenary of the Morrinsville Horticultural Society.
