Description

Pentewan bears 90 mm, slightly downward-facing flowers with chrome-yellow perianth segments that overlap by half. The expanded sulphur-yellow corona has a flanged, toothed rim, and the flowers bloom early. Received at Haarlem in 1951 as ‘California’, it was Williams’ daffodil known as ‘Pentewan’ in Scilly; ‘California’ is now listed as a synonym.
