Petrel

5 W-WTriandrus

Description

Petrel has ivory-white flowers with broad, flat, slightly reflexed perianth segments that overlap by one-third; the inner segments have wavy margins. Its cup-shaped corona has a straight, even mouth and a faintly scalloped rim. It blooms late and occasionally produces secondary stems. Records describe it as a sibling of ‘Ringing Bell’s’ and part of Grant Mitsch’s “Bird Series”; its name refers to the ocean-dwelling bird found on the Oregon Coast.
