Pipe Major

Description

Pipe Major bears slightly upward-facing flowers with broadly ovate, blunt, spreading perianth segments that overlap by half and show broad midribs. Its short, ribbed, funnel-shaped corona has a straight mouth and reddish-orange coloring; the Tyrone 1992 catalog described the cup as deep red. It blooms late.
