Quail

Description

Quail bears two or three scented, 60 mm flowers per stem, with rich golden-yellow perianths and coronas in a slightly darker tone. The broadly ovate perianth segments have prominent whitish tips; they spread or curve slightly inward, lie flat, and overlap by half, surrounding a loosely ribbed, funnel-shaped corona with a wavy, sometimes split and overlapping mouth. This mid-season cultivar belongs to Grant Mitsch’s “Bird Series” and was named for the quail found in his home state of Oregon.
