Rose of May

Description

Rose of May bears rounded, pale creamy-white flowers 65 mm wide, with very broad, somewhat irregular segments that overlap by half or more. The outer whorl is flat and spreading or slightly inflexed, while progressively more inflexed inner whorls have incurved margins; inner segments are often folded at the midrib, and the central segments curl tightly inward. It flowers late and is scented.
