Sarchedon

Description

Sarchedon has a pure white perianth surrounding a finely ribbed, disc-shaped corona of sulphur yellow, green at the base and narrowly banded scarlet at the rim. The strong-substance flowers measure 102 mm wide, with spreading, very broadly obovate segments that overlap by one-third; the narrower, inflexed inner segments have wavy margins. The corona mouth is split and overlapping in places, and the flowers bloom in mid-season.
