Description
Skyfire has rounded, 100 mm-wide flowers with very broad, flat, spreading perianth segments that overlap by half and end somewhat abruptly. Their margins curl inward minutely at the tips, while the slightly inflexed inner segments have more strongly incurled edges. The very broad, ribbed, roughly disc-shaped corona is brilliant reddish pink with white patches at the margins; its mouth is deeply six-lobed, with somewhat bilobed, loosely frilled lobes. It blooms in mid-season, and the flowers are described as sunproof.
