Description

System Alert bears 106 mm flowers with yellow perianth segments, each marked by a prominent pale tip, surrounding a smooth, red, cup-shaped corona 15 mm long. The spreading, broadly ovate outer segments are 42 mm long, blunt, smooth, and of heavy substance, overlapping by half; they are flat or have incurved margins, while the slightly narrower inner segments are shouldered at the base and less prominently tipped. The corona has a slightly expanded, ribbed and wavy mouth with an irregularly notched rim, and the flowers open in mid-season.
