Thumbs Up

Description

Thumbs Up has a 117 mm flower forming a double triangle, with vivid yellow perianth segments and an orange corona. The very broadly ovate segments are plane, smooth, and of heavy substance, while the funnel-shaped corona has a straight, even mouth and a toothed rim. Described as sunproof and blooming in mid-season, it was a major winner at New Zealand daffodil shows; its name was attributed to that success and to a bulb selling for $450 at auction in St Louis, Missouri.
