Tropicoss

Description

Tropicoss bears 108 mm flowers with deep yellow, very broad perianth segments and an orange corona that deepens to reddish orange at the rim. The 45 mm, roundish segments are truncate and mucronate, spreading to slightly reflexed with plane or slightly incurved margins; their heavy, creased surfaces overlap by half or more. Inner segments are more nearly ovate and shouldered at the base, while the 23 mm, angled cup has a slightly expanded, broadly ribbed, lobed and lightly frilled mouth with a minutely crenate rim. It blooms in mid-season.
