Unsurpassable

Description

Unsurpassable has 108 mm flowers with brilliant greenish-yellow perianth segments and a vivid yellow corona. The broadly ovate, blunt segments are slightly pointed at the tip and curve inward, with strongly recurved margins and one-quarter overlap. Its smooth, cylindrical corona opens into an expanded, frilled mouth with a widely flanged, deeply notched, scalloped rim. It flowers very early and has been recorded under the synonyms ‘Hortulanus Witte’ and ‘Insurpassable’.
