Victoria

1 W-YTrumpet

Description

Victoria bears 84 mm flowers with creamy-white, ovate perianth segments and a vivid yellow, cylindrical corona. The inflexed segments overlap by one-third, while the inner segments may be somewhat twisted or wavy-edged. The lightly ribbed corona opens into an expanded, frilled mouth with a crenate rim and sometimes six deeply overlapping lobes. Named for the Victorian era in which it was introduced, it was exhibited at spring shows by Messrs. Barr and Sons and is also reported as ‘Dutch Victoria’.
