White Slave

Description

White Slave has overlapping perianth segments and an expanded, ribbed and frilled corona of pale citron yellow shading to sulfur white at the base. Described as tall, it was claimed in the 1934 van Waveren and Sons catalog to have a broader, more heavily crinkled cup, propagate more slowly and outpoint ‘White Lady’ at comparative exhibitions. The catalog described it under the name ‘Albinia’, which is also listed as a synonym.
