Acropolis

4 W-ODouble

Description

Acropolis has rounded, 112 mm flowers formed from several whorls of creamy-white petaloid segments, with darker tones confined to their bases. The very broad segments overlap by half or more; the spreading, concave outer whorl has slightly incurled margins, while successive inner whorls become shorter, narrower, more deeply concave and more strongly incurled around a sharply inflexed centre. Very short, frilled orange corona segments, greenish yellow at the base, are interspersed among the central segments, and flowering runs from mid-season to late.
