Bittern

Description

Bittern bears one or two 60 mm-wide flowers per stem, with lemon perianth segments and a frilled, bright orange corona. The depth of the corona’s color is affected by the weather. Part of Grant Mitsch’s Bird Series, ‘Bittern’ was named for the marsh bird known for its unusual call.
