Description

Castanets bears clusters of four to eight scented flowers per stem, each about 50 mm wide, with deep golden-yellow, broadly ovate segments and a smooth, shallow bowl-shaped corona of strong orange. The outer segments are reflexed and tipped with a white mucro, while the blunter inner segments spread more nearly outward, with margins reflexed near the base and wavy toward the apex. The corona has a wavy mouth and an unbroken rim, and the flowers open in mid-season.
