Description

Chromite has 75 mm-wide flowers forming a double triangle, with a perianth that opens yellow and becomes coppery orange around a deep tangerine-orange corona. The broad, blunt outer segments spread smoothly, while the narrower inner segments have wavy, incurved margins; the smooth, funnel-shaped corona has a straight, wavy mouth. It blooms late.
