Hilary Marea

Description

Hilary Marea has rounded, 41 mm flowers with white, very broad, smooth, spreading segments of heavy substance that overlap by half or more. Its smooth, bowl-shaped corona is dark lemon yellow, with a straight, ribbed and frilled mouth and a toothed rim; each stem carries 15–21 sweetly scented, sunproof flowers early in the season. Part of Bill Welch’s Friends Series, the cultivar was named for his friend Hilary.
