Mount Hood

1 W-WTrumpet

Description

Mount Hood bears 102 mm flowers with creamy white perianth segments and a corona that opens light greenish yellow before maturing to creamy white. The broadly ovate, blunt outer segments curve inward, their apical margins incurling as they overlap by one-third to one-half; the narrower inner segments are more acute, angled at the shoulder, and reflexed near their wavy-edged tips. Its smooth, cylindrical corona has a ribbed, expanded mouth and a flanged, regularly notched, crenate rim, and it blooms in mid-season.
