Pinza

2 Y-YYOLarge-cupped

Description

Pinza has 94 mm flowers with a vivid yellow perianth and a corona that shades from vivid orange-yellow at the base to a broad orange band at the rim. The broad, overlapping outer segments are smooth and spreading, while the narrower inner segments are shouldered at the base and slightly inflexed; the cup-shaped, lightly ribbed corona has a more closely ribbed, lightly frilled mouth and a slightly flanged rim. Part of Richardson's “Race Horse Series,” the cultivar was named after a highly successful racehorse of the 1950s.
