Sovereign

Description

Sovereign bears 115 mm flowers with ivory-white, yellow-tinged perianth segments that are very broadly ovate, concave and strongly overlapping, ending in rounded, prominently pointed tips. The strong-orange corona is split to the base into six loosely frilled, deeply bilobed segments with overlapping lobes; each is seven-eighths as long as and as wide as a perianth segment, closely overlies it, and joins its margins at the base. The inner corona segments are heavily ribbed and tightly frilled, and the flowers open in mid-season.
